LifeGuard™ Line-of-Sight Sleeving System

Protect your operators, equipment and the environment against catastrophic hose failure with the LifeGuard™ Line-of-Sight Sleeving System from Gates.
You know the consequences of a burst or pinhole leak in a hydraulic system, especially for anything or anyone located within a three-foot line-of-sight. Personal injury. Fluid burns and injection. Fires and explosions. Electrical shock. Mechanical failure.

The LifeGuard sleeving system is an effective, economical alternative to costly metal shielding or re-routing of hose lines.

It contains 6,000 psi bursts and 3,000 psi pinhole leaks at 212°F for up to five minutes. After redirecting the explosive force down the length of the hose, the LifeGuard sleeve disperses the energy and fluids at the hose ends via carefully designed “channel” clamps. The leaked fluid then allows for fast hose failure detection.

Other features:

• Handles hydraulic fluids and biodiesel fuel

• Correlates to ISO 3457 and meets MSHA’s flame resistance requirements

• Patent pending system includes Gates hose, couplings, sleeve and channel clamps

No other sleeve provides this level of protection. Download Whitepaper and Gates Hydraulics Catalog here >>>
