At IFPE 2011, the 52nd National Conference on Fluid Power will be the cornerstone of expanded education. The conference focus is on new technologies and methodologies within the fluid power industry related to improved analysis, design, manufacturing and performance of fluid power components and systems for mobile and industrial markets.

Daman’s Weinkauf presenting two papers at IFPE
Daman’s Tom Weinkauf will present two papers during educational programs on Thursday, March 24th at the IFPE Conference in Las Vegas. Both papers provide an update on standards work and Daman’s involvement in bringing those standards to the global industry.
It’s all in the research—catching up with the CCEFP
The Center for Compact and Efficient Fluid Power, now in it’s 5th year, has been a nice success story for the fluid power industry. Funded in part by the National Science Foundation, the Center has among its goals the research and development of efficient components, compact power supplies, and compact energy storage.
NFPA hosting innovation forum at IFPE

Hydraulic hybrid chosen for bus demonstrator
Altair Engineering has selected Parker Hannifin’s series hybrid hydraulic drive system for its BUSolutions project. The system will enable the new advanced bus platform to achieve 45-70% increased fuel economy over average diesel powertrains and more than double the fuel economy improvement of hybrid-electrics.
Texas A&M Partners with Bosch Rexroth to Establish New Fluid Power Laboratory
Bosch Rexroth was honored recently at a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas for its involvement in the creation of the Bosch Rexroth-R.C. Womack Fluid Power Laboratory.
