Last time, we talked a little bit of IFPE history, and today, I’d like to touch a little on the last iteration of IFPE, the very successful 2011 show. There were a combined 120,000 industry professionals from more than 150 countries at IFPE and the co-located events. The Association of Equipment Manufacturers, the show’s current owner, says that 44% of attendees were key company decision makers. More than 400 exhibitors spanned 140,000 square feet of exhibit space, making it the largest IFPE in history!
There were also three international exhibit pavilions highlighting products and services from China, Italy and Taiwan. And there were three exhibit pavilions, including the American Gear Manufacturers Association and the Power Transmission Distributors Association, as well as an exhibit pavilion that highlighted the expanded presence of sensors manufacturers at the show. In all, there were nearly two dozen supporting organizations for IFPE 2011:
ABIMAQ
American Gear Manufacturers Association
Association of Equipment Manufacturers
ASSOFLUID
British fluid Power Association (BFPA)
Canadian Fluid Power Association
CETOP-European Fluid Power Committee

Thanks for the plug, Paul. Actually, IFPE has three owners: the National Fluid Power Association, the Association of Equipment Manufacturers, and the International Concrete and Aggregates Group. The NFPA is the majority owner.
