High Country Tek, Inc. has created a precision proportional controller that is rugged, versatile, compact, and simple to configure.
Because of its programmatic flexibility, the EVC multi-function digital valve driver can be configured to control different machine subsystems, requiring only a simple configuration file for a range of functionality.
And you don’t need to be a programmer to configure this product: an intuitive, free graphical user interface (GUI) makes it easy for anyone to configure the EVC to system requirements. Because the EVC can be powered by the mini-USB for desktop configuration while the coil output is turned off, users can save and load configurations easily and safely via a desktop computer. An OEM-protected password for configuration prevents unauthorized field adjustment of the controller.
The EVC can be used in simple proportional single- and dual-coil applications or in more complex closed-loop pressure/speed control solutions. The command signal can be either industry-standard voltage ( 0-5 or 0-10 V ) or current ( 4-20 mA ). The mobile industry can take ad-vantage of the SAE J1939 compatibility for horsepower limiting or anti-stall applications.
Using a standard Deutsch connector, the EVC is rated to IP67 and solid potted, making it rugged enough that it can be mounted near the valves on the manifold to reduce harness costs.
The EVC module has been designed to be a cost-effective solution for many of today’s valve control projects. Designed with two 12-bit 3.0-amp outputs, the EVC is compatible with a wide range of 12- and 24-volt coil requirements and manufacturers.
