Commercial truck manufacturers, upfitters, distributors and body builders of all sizes can learn how to improve manufacturing efficiency and business results using the latest techniques and technology at the new Manufacturer and Distributor Innovation Conference, held Tuesday, March 5, in conjunction with The Work Truck Show 2019.

“The ability to access and successfully deploy the best manufacturing technology, equipment and practices isn’t limited to just the biggest players in the industry,” says Doyle Sumrall, NTEA managing director. “This conference is designed to expose anyone who builds work trucks to the most innovative tools, processes and resources available and explain how all of these solutions are scalable and customizable to operations of all sizes. Attendees will come away from this event with resources and ideas they can put into practice to accelerate their business success.”

Tuesday’s agenda will feature a keynote address and general sessions covering topics such as welding as a core competency, using government programs to improve productivity, building a culture of mentoring, using a lean approach to foster an innovative environment, and developing a process to attract and train workers. Each session will include time for questions and group discussion.

In addition to general sessions on March 5, Manufacturer and Distributor Innovation Conference registration includes access to concurrent sessions on topics such as using the Entrepreneurial Operating System to revitalize leadership teams, robotics as a productivity tool, shop floor measurements basics, welder training for the work truck industry, and hands-on activities in the areas of electricity and robotics.

A full list of all the educational offerings and registration options at the Show — including Green Truck Summit, Fleet Technical Congress, Manufacturer and Distributor Innovation Conference, workshops, concurrent programming and special events — will be available at worktruckshow.com when registration opens in October.

The Work Truck Show, North America’s largest work truck event, is produced by NTEA – The Association for the Work Truck Industry. It features the latest vocational trucks, vans, vehicle components and truck equipment on an exhibit floor covering more than 500,000 square feet. The event includes a robust educational conference with sessions designed to help attendees improve their operations. Anyone who works with commercial vehicles, including public and private truck fleet operators, manufacturers, dealers and equipment distributors can find solutions to their business challenges at the Show.

Registration for The Work Truck Show 2019, Manufacturer and Distributor Innovation Conference, Green Truck Summit and Fleet Technical Congress opens in October.
