Warner Linear introduces H-Track actuators for challenging mobile applications

March 1, 2017 By Paul Heney

Warner Linear has developed the new H-Track electric actuator with self-contained hydraulic actuation to meet the growing demand for power dense actuators used in a variety of industrial and mobile off-highway applications including mower deck lifts, snow plow blades, agricultural sprayer booms, and UTV dump beds.

The innovative electric H-Track actuator provides the performance of hydraulics without the space requirements and expense of a full-size hydraulic system. The H-Track has a force rating of 4800 lbs. (21 kN) packaged in a compact size. A unique, patented valve and reservoir design also provides significant space savings compared to competitive models.

With less than 0.3 cc/min. initial drift, once seated the H-Track is immune to vibrational drifting and hydraulically self-locks during load reversals, while holding its position without power. The unit’s power pack features a configurable gear pump. Two gear size options in combination with multiple gear housing configurations allow for variable pressures and volumes.

Completely sealed H-Track models are weather-proof, dust-tight, corrosion resistant, and IP67 static (temporary submersion) and IP69K (high pressure wash-down) tested and salt spray rated. Units feature an anodized aluminum housing and a standard operating temperature range of -20˚ to 150˚ F (wider ranges are available). Seven models are offered with stroke lengths up to 16 in.
