Valves from Bosch Rexroth

The controllable 2/2 directional cartridge valve LC2A-1X from Bosch Rexroth opens up a variety of functions in hydraulics using available standard parts. The hydraulic valve series comes in seven sizes ranging from 16 to 100. As the overall functionality is built from individual standard parts, engineering and assembly costs can be reduced. Likewise, circuit modifications and repairs also become less costly.

The Rexroth valve series with standardized cavities according to ISO 7368 carries the principle of modular design over to hydraulics. Users can directly mount almost any LFA logic cover in the Rexroth standard program, which in turn allows them to create any hydraulic function imaginable. This approach increases the flexibility for later modifications, as only the logic cover needs to be replaced in order to adapt the functionality to new requirements.

The LC2A-1X series is based on Rexroth design principles, but incorporates improvements in specific details. For instance, type tested versions with closed switch position monitoring are now available across the entire range. Alternatively, a variant monitoring the open switch position is also feasible. All sizes can easily be retrofitted on site with a Q7- type adjustment-free position switch.

The variable assignment of the pilot oil channels to the active area opens up levels of freedom. This LC2A-1X valve series lets engineers set different functional priorities, including a direct replacement of existing standard logics if a user wants to add position monitoring or prevent internal leaks. Additional piston models allow for highly dynamic check-valve functions or analog position sensing.

In sizes 80 and 100, the hydraulic flow parameters were based on Rexroth design modifications. In combination with the shaft seal, hydraulic losses are thus further reduced, which in turn contributes to better energy efficiency.
