Sunnen Products Company, a manufacturer of honing, bore sizing and engine rebuilding equipment, will showcase its entry-level HTA Tube Hone machine at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026, March 3–7 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The company will be at booth S83253, highlighting updates in tube honing for hydraulic cylinder repair and related applications.

With more than 375 units sold worldwide, Sunnen’s HTA Tube Hone is designed for precision and efficiency in industrial tube honing applications. The all-electric system is built for use in sectors that require high accuracy, including hydraulic cylinder repair, energy and heavy equipment manufacturing. Its construction and user-focused features are intended to help address common productivity and operational challenges in these industries.

The HTA Tube Hone features an all-electric drive that provides quieter operation and improved control during bore reversals. Its compact design reduces floor space requirements compared to traditional horizontal tube honing systems. The machine includes a Siemens servo stroker motor with a belt drive for smooth operation. The spindle unit is rated at 3 HP (2.24 kW) and offers adjustable stroker speeds from 5 to 90 feet per minute (1.5 to 27.4 meters per minute) with spindle speeds ranging from 20 to 300 RPM, supporting resurfacing and repair work.

The HTA Tube Hone includes a programmable automatic tool feed system, a Siemens PLC color touch screen, a stroker joystick for tool positioning and stroke adjustment, and a stroke control override for use in confined areas. It has a 55-gallon coolant filtration unit with quick disconnects and a manual paper filter to maintain clean coolant and extend abrasive life. The operator station provides multilingual controls and metric/inch conversion options for international use. A load meter and universal V-block workholding system support real-time feedback and quick setup, and compatibility with ANR-275 tooling helps reduce tooling changeover costs.

Attendees can visit booth S83253 to speak with Sunnen’s technical staff, see product demonstrations, and learn about options for improving tube honing processes. The HTA Tube Hone is built to provide consistent results while supporting productivity and safe operation.
