The Pump & Motor Division Europe (PMDE) of Parker Hannifin introduced its new generation large frame F12 motors at Bauma last month. The F12-152, F12-162 and F12-182 are suitable for use in a broad range of hydraulic applications.
The new products are smaller and lighter than previous versions and other similar products on the market. These new motors are rated up to 480 bar and are available in SAE-D and two ISO versions. A key benefit of the new compact F12 is that it can offer several flexible porting options. This allows Parker Hannifin to support the market with tailor-made solutions for even the most demanding applications. In comparison to its successful predecessor, this new series reduces noise levels by 6 to 10 dB.
The patented spherical piston concept from PMDE, provides high-speed, high-acceleration capability and high efficiency, resulting in fewer power losses and less generated heat. This unique feature reduces the demand for cooling, thereby saving fuel and weight as well as reducing greenhouse gases and particles thus meeting future emission regulations.
A key feature in the new F12 series is that it can reduce fuel consumption significantly in comparison to competitive products. Tests show 9.4 kW less power losses, which equates to an approximate 2,300 l diesel fuel saving annually.*
Parker’s patented high efficiency bent axis design with unique spherical piston concept, well-proven gear synchronization, strong cylinder barrel, double-tapered bearing and optimised valve plate concept, makes the new F12 series a very robust and reliable motor for use in even the most demanding applications.
