Parker Hannifin Corporation developed a new range of electronic controls that allow end-users to enhance hydraulic efficiency and performance in a broad range of industrial and mobile open circuit applications.
The company’s P1/PD series pumps now come with these new electronic controls. They are available with or without a programmed electronic unit (ECU). Basically, the controls can regulate pressure, proportional displacement and overcenter capability for energy recovery applications.
Aside from that, the latest Parker electronic control comes in various designs, including those with Electronic P/Q controls for torque and flow management, as well as Electronic displacement controls for precise speed control. It also includes designs with ‘0’ displacement default position for added safety in mobile applications, and ‘Max’ displacement default position for power-loss critical applications such as fan drive application.
Electronic controls without the ECU are also offered in displacement default position. These controls may also come with or without hydro-mechanical pressure limiter or displacement sensor. However, all the mentioned controls come with a directional proportional valve. In addition, the control logic is programmable by the user and can be incorporated utilizing the machine’s existing ECU.
Also, these electronic controls have a user interface (GUI) software, making it easy for users to input the pump-specific parameters or change machine behavior if necessary. Users can also easily calibrate system sensor and set up data log. They can likewise easily monitor the pump, as well as the wiring and system status.
