Muncie Power Products introduces Ex Drive shaft extension

Muncie-EX-Drive Shaft ExtensionMuncie Power Products, Inc. introduces the EX Drive, its latest power take-off shaft extension, designed to fit popular Allison 3000 and 4000 Series transmissions with or without a retarder or cooler.

The EX Drive replaces the driveline, allowing for direct mounting of large hydraulic gear or piston pumps while reducing installation time. Its minimized housing diameter allows for installation in even the tightest spaces on machines like refuse trucks, utility equipment, dump bodies and ice and snow control vehicles.

Providing maximum torque from the power take-off, the shaft extension is available for both clutch-shift and constant-drive PTOs. Its wet-spline design virtually eliminates fretting corrosion of the pump and PTO shafts.

The EX Drive boasts a welded tube housing and clamping bracket. These elements create an extremely flexible design, which can be adapted to fit nearly any application.

Featuring four output options for popular pump models (S.A.E. B, BB, C and DIN 5462), the shaft extension’s rotatable flange allows the pump to be clocked for optimal positioning.
