Kraft Fluid Systems announces the promotion of Scott Durand to President and Melissa Book to Chief Financial Officer for the company effective January 1, 2021.
Durand has served as the sales and marketing leader for Kraft since 2008. Prior to this, he was a successful territory manager for Kraft’s Northeast Ohio OEM customers since joining our team in 2001. Previously, Durand sold industrial plastics in the automotive markets of Michigan.
In his time as vice president of sales and marketing, Durand was involved in the Fluid Power Distributors Association’s Young Executives program and eventually joined their Board of Directors where he later served as President of the Association. He has been an active member of the Danfoss Distributor Training Council since its founding and was instrumental in helping Danfoss deliver training programs designed for all levels of the distributor organization. He has played a key role in Kraft’s significant growth and expansion over the last 12 years. During this time, he earned his MBA at Baldwin Wallace University.
Additionally, Kraft Fluid Systems has also promoted Melissa Book to chief financial officer. Book was previously the company’s treasurer and controller. She joined Kraft in 2015 and was quickly driven to become the in-house ESOP expert to its employee owners. Today, she supports the local and national employee ownership associations on panels and with presentations. Book earned her MBA from Tiffin University and spent 10 years as a CPA and auditor at Cohen and Company in Cleveland, OH.
“Mr. Durand and Ms. Book share their commitment to our customers’ success and a passion for employee-ownership while exhibiting the leadership needed to take Kraft Fluid Systems into the future,” said Diane Baker, chief executive officer and chairman. “This is great news for our customers, suppliers, and the industry at large.”
