Kraft Fluid Systems has announced the addition of Steve Chapin as regional manager for the newly acquired Wisconsin business market. Chapin brings 25 years of hands-on hydraulic equipment and integrated systems experience with him from major companies in the industry.
Chapin joined the Kraft sales team in October after a successful position with a global filter manufacturer assigned to the Midwest territory. He was responsible for growing sales in strategic distributor accounts in the mobile and industrial fluid power markets. Prior to this, he spent 15 years as an account manager at a large engineering design firm focused on delivering hydraulic and electrical control systems solutions to OEM and MRO companies in Wisconsin. Chapin is well skilled and experienced in providing mobile hydraulic solutions and system integration to OEM off-road equipment manufacturers.
“We are pleased to have Steve join the Kraft team,” said Scott Durand, VP of sales and marketing for Kraft Fluid Systems. “I have known Steve for a number of years. He brings the integrity, passion, and skills needed to successfully nurture long-term customer relationships in a highly technical and competitive industry. All of us at Kraft are looking forward to working with him,” said Durand.
Chapin is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout earning a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology. He and his wife Beth live in Milwaukee where he enjoys his family, coaching hockey, and being active in many different facets of the fluid power industry.
“I am excited to join such an experienced group of hydraulic and industry experts,” said Chapin. “The employee-owners at Kraft have gone the extra mile in welcoming me to the team. Their reputation in the field has surely given me an advantage as I introduce the company to the Wisconsin market.”
