IFPE, the fluid power industry’s largest trade show and conference event, is just three short months away. And while many companies and attendees are veterans of this great event, I’m sure there are plenty of newbies that could use a preview of what to expect. That’s why IFPE staff is holding a 30-minute webinar on Thursday, January 16, from 10 to 11 a.m. to show exhibitors the ropes to successfully plan their exhibiting experience. The webinar, “IFPE: Helpful Exhibitor Info,” will offer information about move in/out, crucial promotion opportunities and other helpful information that will fully prepare exhibitors and their staff for IFPE and allow everyone to enjoy the show.
I’ve only been to IFPE once, as both an exhibitor and an attendee and I wish now that I had some helpful guidelines such as this to prepare me for all I should have expected. With record exhibit space of 165,000 net square feet and about 400 exhibitors in IFPE alone, plus the record-breaking 2.3 million net square feet of indoor and outdoor exhibits at CONExpo, the event can be a little overwhelming. This is the one show that brings together most of the big—and small—players in hydraulic component and system design, particularly for use on mobile machinery. Not only are there opportunities to learn about new products and educate yourself, but there are plenty of opportunities for fun as well, as most companies go all-out with their booths.
In 2011, I attended the event for three days and probably only saw about 50 percent of what I really wanted to see. So having a plan of action will help exhibitors and attendees find the companies, products, and technical information they are looking for as easily as possible.
Space for the webinar is limited, so interested exhibitors should register immediately and make the most of this event that only comes around every three years.
