Hydraulic hose provides flexibility with tight-bend radii

June 10, 2013 By Mary Gannon

Share

Isobaric hydraulic hose from Ryco is available in spiral (H series) and wire-braid (T series) styles, offering a very small bend radii (2 in. hose with a 400-mm bend radius) that is about 2/3 the industry standard. This tight radii allows for easier installation and routing, along with reduced weight.

H series spiral hose is available for high-pressure hydraulic oil lines, with pressure ratings from 215 to 420 bar (3100 to 6100 psi) and temperature ratings of –40° to 121°C (–40° to 250°F). With 78 products in this line, they are reinforced with multiple alternative layers of spiraled high-tensile steel wire and come with a choice of three covers, including abrasion/flame resistant and anti-static.

T series wire-braided hose is available for high-pressure hydraulic oil lines, with pressure ratings from 215 to 420 bar (3100 to 6100 psi) and temperature ratings of –40° to 100°C (–40° to 212°F). With 60 products in this line, they are reinforced with braiding of high-tensile steel wire and also come with a choice of three covers, including abrasion/flame resistant and anti-static.

Suitable couplings for the Isobaric line are designed to provide safety, leak-free performance, and productivity and reliability. H series hose are designed for use with T7000 and T9000 series Bitelok non-skive one-piece crimp and 69000N series Bitelok two-piece crimp. T series hose are designed for use with T2000 series Bitelok non-skive one-piece crimp.

  1. flexible hose says

I would like to share that a hose should not be stretched tight between two fittings as this will result in overstressing and eventual failure. The length of hose should be sufficient to provide about 5 to 8 percent slack. Avoid tight bends in flex lines as they may result in failure. Never exceed the minimum bend radii.
