Holmbury couplers make simultaneous hydraulic connections

The MP series of multiplate couplers from Holmbury, Eastlake, Ohio, lets users simultaneously connect multiple hydraulic lines. The MP Series inherits the benefits of Holmbury’s flat-face coupler design. The product is currently available with a 4- or 6-port design.

The devices feature connect-under-pressure male couplers that permit bidirectional flow. The couplers are circlip mounted and can be replaced or easily removed. Its flat-face design prevents fluid loss during disconnection, allows for minimal inclusion of air and contaminants during connection, and the flat faces are easily wiped clean. Various configurations for handle and button arrangement, as well as electrical connections, are available upon request.

A rugged construction includes couplers and handle made of carbon steel with zinc-nickel plating (1,200 hours with no red rust in salt spray tests). The body is black-anodized aluminum and the button is red anodized aluminum. The units are fitted with Nitrile and polyurethane seals.

The units, available in four standard sizes, are suited for mobile construction equipment, tractors and other agricultural machinery, and general industrial applications that demand leak-free environments. Operating temperatures range with Nitrile seals -40° to 106°C (-40° to 223°F) and maximum working pressure is 5,075 psi.
