Eaton’s annual Instructor Symposium

June 30, 2014 By Garrett Harmon

Power management company Eaton announced it will host its annual Instructor Symposium, designed to arm instructors with information, tools and insights to pass on to the next generation of fluid power professionals. The event, taking place July 29-31 at Eaton’s training center in Maumee, Ohio, will help educators reshape their curriculums to incorporate the latest fluid power innovations.

“As products get smaller, with higher pressures, and more complexities around integration with electronics and software, it is important for industry trainers to stay up-to-date on the latest developments,” said Tom Blansett, North American training manager, Eaton’s Hydraulics Group. “Eaton admires the dedication and energy of these educators, and sessions like this Instructor Symposium help teachers dig deeper into new developments while learning to apply traditional products and technologies in new ways.”

The Instructor Symposium is designed for professionals who are educating students in vocational settings or technical colleges and universities. During the three day symposium, attendees will take part in classes, hands-on labs and demonstrations covering the following topics: aeration and cavitation; CAN basics; hose technology and assembly techniques; thread and port ID; advanced pump controls; sensor technology; systemic contamination control; logical troubleshooting with bar trim and simulators; proportional valve control technology; and Eaton’s Life Sense® Hose Health Monitoring System.
