Power management company Eaton recently donated $20,000 to Hennepin Technical College in Minnesota to fund scholarships for full-time students in the school’s Fluid Power Associate of Applied Science Degree Program.
Building on Eaton’s tradition of corporate citizenship, the company’s “Powering Communities Grants” help improve the quality of life in communities where Eaton employees live, work, and volunteer.
“Technically educated employees are essential to helping companies manage fluid power more safely, reliably and productively,” said Craig Pundsack, test lab manager, Hydraulics Group. “Eaton is dedicated to advancing the fluid power industry and funding scholarships at colleges, such as Hennepin Tech, that bolster the workforce and provide students with the necessary skills for success.”
Eaton has supported Hennepin Technical College in the past, taking part in alumni events and job fairs to support students. “We appreciate Eaton’s commitment in providing scholarship funds for students who want to study fluid power,” said Mike McGee, dean of manufacturing, Hennepin Technical College. “Our training program prepares individuals to join the workforce as highly skilled technicians and Eaton’s generous support will help students achieve their educational goals.”
Hennepin Technical College is Minnesota’s largest technical college, serving more than 10,000 students at its Brooklyn Park and Eden Prairie, Minnesota, campuses. The school offers more than 45 programs including certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees in science and applied science.
