Faster has recently developed new FHV flat-face couplings, available in sizes 1-in. and 1-1/2-in. These high-performance couplings screw on under pressure. Typical situations for applications in earth moving machine and construction equipment involve high pressure, dirty environment, flow peaks and inversions, pressure pulsations, need to connect under residual pressure.
The couplings are robust; thanks to a special ball bearing system and double patented valve, they can be connected easier by hand, without tools, under residual pressure (max 35 MPa in male coupling only).
Polyurethane seals allow high resistance to extrusion and wear, safety sleeve against accidental disconnection and the ZincNickel surface treatment which improves their resistance to corrosion.
