Eaton’s hybrid systems hit 100 million miles

Eaton announced that customers of its hybrid systems have accumulated more than 100 million miles of service, reducing fuel consumption by 4 million gallons of diesel fuel and emissions by 40,000 metric tons.

Parker Hannifin hydraulic hybrid bus Altair

Altair Engineering has selected Parker Hannifin’s series hybrid hydraulic drive system for its BUSolutions project. The system will enable the new advanced bus platform to achieve 45-70% increased fuel economy over average diesel powertrains and more than double the fuel economy improvement of hybrid-electrics.
