CASE Construction Equipment recently introduced a range of new machines, including mini excavators and powerful skid steers. They’ll be up and running October 3 to 5 at the ICUEE show in Louisville, Ky.
The C Series mini excavator family expands the CASE lineup and provides a more-comprehensive and feature-driven machine for the construction, landscaping, utility and rental markets, according to the company.
Six new models range from the CX17C (rated at 16.8 hp, weighing 3,910 lb with a bucket digging force of 3,490 lb-ft) to the CX60C (64.7 hp, 12,940 lb and 9,190 lb-ft). The units offer zero tail swing, short-radius or conventional designs.
The excavators have adjustable booms with the ability to offset left or right to work closer to buildings and obstacles, and improve maneuverability in congested areas. The CX17C features a variable-width undercarriage and adjustable blade capable of passing through most common gates and for working on confined jobsites and in developed areas.
Standard proportional controls provide precision movement of all attachments with ease-of-thumb control, while an auxiliary flow diverter valve on some units lets the operator readily switch between single and bi-directional flow for use with a variety of attachments. An easy-to-use pattern selector also comes standard, allowing operators to choose their control pattern preference for optimum productivity.
A standard Auto-Shift travel system provides operator comfort and convenience by securing travel speed and torque as ground conditions change. A spacious layout with excellent visibility, ergonomic controls, adjustable seating and line-of-sight digital displays help minimize driver fatigue. The CX57C and CX60C come standard with an LCD touchscreen streaming up-to-the-minute machine performance data and intuitive access to machine settings.
Another product on display is CASE’s SV340 skid steer. Designed for heavy-duty earthmoving and attachment use, it has a 3,400-lb rated operating capacity and 9,531-lb breakout force. The vertical-lift skid steer has a 90-hp FPT engine with selective catalytic reduction emissions technology, along with a robust lift arm, H-link and upper chassis.
The machine also offers optional high-flow (38.7 gpm at 3,450 psi) and enhanced high-flow (35 gpm at 4,000 psi) auxiliary hydraulics for excellent power and attachment versatility. Additional enhancements have also been made to manifold valves, gear pump and the auxiliary loader circuit for added power and performance.
This makes the SV340 an ideal operating platform for more-advanced attachments such as cold planers, tree spades and stump grinders, said CASE officials. The skid steer is compatible with more than 250 attachments, including the company’s sectional snow pushes, buckets, forks, brooms and rakes.
The SV340 also features EZ-EH (electrohydraulic) controls that provide nine adjustable speed and control sensitivity settings that can be changed on the fly. This lets the operator quickly switch between personalized settings for speed and control, and tailor machine performance to the application. A single rocker switch toggles between the CASE “H” operating pattern and ISO pattern controls for jobsites where numerous operators have different operating preferences. The skid steer also features push-button Ride Control, which cushions loader-arm movement for a smoother ride and greater material retention.
