As previously reported, The National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) and the Center for Compact and Efficient Fluid Power (CCEFP) have partnered to expand the industry’s annual industry and academic research conference, the 2015 Fluid Power Innovation & Research Conference (FPIRC 2015). For its second year, the NFPA and CCEFP are inviting both industry and academic researchers to submit an extended abstract of their work for consideration as a presentation at the event.
FPIRC will be held October 14-16, 2015, at the Radisson Blu in downtown Chicago.
During last year’s iteration of the FPIRC, only students and researchers at CCEFP-funded universities presented at the event. It is the aim of both organizations to now at least double the number of presentations and create an event similar to other global research conferences.
Presentations should address fundamental or applied research or innovative development in fluid power or closely related fields. Abstracts must be submitted by May 15. To learn more about presentation requirements, visit the CCEFP website.
FPIRC connects industry to university resources and talent through technical sessions, networking opportunities, laboratory tours, and panel discussions on the technologies and workforce skills needed to continue growing the fluid power industry.
