Bosch Rexroth U.S. has given its website a major facelift, but the changes go deeper than just enhanced aesthetic appeal. The overall function of the website has been drastically improved with better navigation, a clickable history trail for easy back tracking and context-based left-hand menus for deeper navigation within a specific area.
The new website’s homepage gives users quick and intuitive access to all the information they need. The home page is topped by a series of drop-down menus that allow the user to jump quickly from various categories such as products, industries, training and even current trends and topics. Under “Trends and Topics,” users will find Rexroth’s numerous resource kits, featuring a library of educational material addressing engineering challenges for a variety of technical topics including factory automation, mechatronics and hydraulics.
The website’s search function now features the Google search appliance in order to provide best-match results. Users can narrow their search by selecting various filters from a menu along the left side of the page. Search results can be filtered to be limited to Rexroth’s U.S. website, its worldwide corporate website or a specific country. Users can also filter results by language, content type and product group.
For those just entering into the industry or just need a little refresher on the sort of technology Rexroth covers, the website has increased the amount of service and training resources available on the site. Users can find links to e-learning materials, upcoming Bosch training locations and can even find out how to purchase training materials.
Since visitors to the site are likely going to be looking for products, Rexroth has done plenty of work to help engineers find what they are looking for as quickly as possible. When the user clicks on the “Products” tab on the main page, they will be taken to another page where all of Rexroth’s products have been divided into three categories: Product Groups, Systems and Modules and Engineering. Under each of these categories users will find products further divided into sub-categories such as assembly technologies, linear motion technologies and welding technologies. Continuing to click on their desired category will quickly narrow down the products to what the user is looking for.
The website features quick links on its homepage that link to Rexroth’s active social media accounts as well as press releases, job and career opportunities and the latest products and company news. Users will also find Rexroth’s upcoming tradeshow schedule, with downloadable press kits from each show.
With the new website, Rexroth is further embracing growing trends in online shopping by providing an eshop where registered users can not only order products, but check product availability, track orders and find detailed product and technical information as well.
