Balluff Inc. has been recognized as the Second Best Place to Work in Kentucky by the Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management (KYSHRM) and the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.

Balluff competed and came in second in the medium-sized company category (companies with 150-499 employees) at the Tenth Annual Best Places to Work in Kentucky awards ceremony, held on April 24, 2014. They joined 90 other Kentucky companies who were recognized for their commitment to focus, measure, and move their workplace towards excellence.

“Hiring and retaining the best people has been part of our corporate strategy, because we believe our people are our most valued asset,”€œ stated Kent Howard, President and CEO of Balluff, Inc. “€œOur employees have excellent work ethics and a strong commitment to their fellow colleagues and customers around the world.”€œ

The selection process for this competition, managed by Best Companies Group, is based on an assessment of the company’€™s employee policies and procedures and the results of an internal employee survey. The competition is a multi-year initiative designed to motivate companies in the Commonwealth to focus, measure and move their workplace environments toward excellence. Numerous studies show a strong correlation between profitability and creating a good place to work. The Best Places to Work in Kentucky initiative is based on FORTUNE magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work for in America”€ list.
